Our Partnership Management team-a driving force within Apple's Worldwide Developer Relations group-is looking for a dynamic leader to guide a passionate team of Senior Partnership Managers as they collaborate with innovators in pro audio, video, photography, and 3D design. From next-gen visual effects to cutting-edge music production, you'll foster innovation and build lasting relationships between Apple and the developers who empower creatives worldwide. As a player and coach, your responsibilities will be twofold: 1. Developer Relationship Leadership - Forge and nurture strategic partnerships with third-party developers, ensuring their tools and innovations align with Apple's vision and objectives. 2. Team Oversight and Development - Lead, mentor, and empower a team of individual contributor Partnership Managers, enabling them to excel in managing developer relationships and driving impactful collaborations. Both facets of the job have specific requirements: Developer Relationship Leadership: - Manage Apple's relationship with a given set of third-party developers in the Creative Pro space (as will other individuals on your team). - Build external and internal relationships to effectively deliver Apple's message to developers while championing developer needs and issues within Apple. - Communicate Apple's product and marketing messages to third-party developers with particular focus on the Creative Pro segment. - Work with your direct team, cross-functional teams and third-party developers to bring strategic Creative solutions to Apple's platforms. - Stay up to date on the latest industry trends, technologies and methodologies - with particular emphasis on the Creative Pro segment within the app-ecosystem - to ensure the team remains competitive and efficient. - Maintain a high level of business expertise, combined with a strong understanding of the tools and technologies relevant to App development. - Promote the benefits of macOS, iOS, iPadOS, tvOS, watchOS and visionOS technology adoption with third-party developers in the Creative Pro space. Team Oversight and Development: - Provide vision, direction and guidance to Partnership Managers, ensuring alignment with company goals and objectives. - Monitor team performance, providing feedback, and conducting performance reviews; identifying areas for improvement and implementing measures to enhance productivity. - Assign tasks to team members based on their skills, expertise, and overall workload. - Host regular team meetings and one-on-one sessions to facilitate clear communication between team members and other departments, stakeholders and senior management. - Inspire and empower team members to achieve excellence and to continuously improve. - Ensure optimal use of resources to stay within departmental budgetary restraints. - Define roles, responsibilities and expectations for team members. - Address and find solutions to challenges or obstacles the team might face. - Provide regular updates and reports on the team's progress, challenges and achievements to senior management. - Ensure team adheres to company policies, regulations, and best practices.

Minimum Qualifications

  • BS / BA degree, MS / MA / MBA or equivalent a plus.
  • 10+ years of relevant experience in the technology sector, serving in a product, account management or developer relations role.
  • Previous Creative industry experience (development, production and / or marketing).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Strong oral and written communication skills, combined with a mature, diplomatic approach in all communications.
  • Effective presentation skills in a variety of formal presentation settings; one-on-one, small and large group.
  • Awareness of app development processes, developer support programs and related marketing activities.
  • Consumer electronics marketing / relationship management experience highly desired.
  • Demonstrable passion for Apple platforms.
  • Previous team management experience.

Pay & Benefits

At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $185,800 and $334,900, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.

Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple's discretionary employee stock programs. Apple employees are eligible for discretionary restricted stock unit awards, and can purchase Apple stock at a discount if voluntarily participating in Apple's Employee Stock Purchase Plan.
