Apple Music Radio is in search of a Content Producer for the global Apple Music platform. The Content Producer will work collaboratively with cross functional partners to execute the creative vision for each program. Working with Radio leadership, The Content Producer will ensure Apple Music Radio's programming strategy is woven through the content created. This role will be responsible for the oversight of creating, executing and following through on each production - from inception to show launch and beyond.
Description
Planning Long-lead production planning. Ensuring key business priorities & Artist campaigns are being supported across assigned shows. Manage administrative functions for a team: planners, calendars, studio bookings, recording sessions, internal trackers. Implement new show features and formats to shows Confident at communicating with Talent and show team, as well as internal cross-functional teams. Pre-Production Schedule music for the show and share with Technical producer Research program music (write notes on selected songs) and guest appearances (co-ordinate) Write background notes and interview questions for guests (including editorial asks) Write scripts for shows and editorial Populate the show episode tracker Work with the Artist Relations team to book guests for shows. Work with cross-functional teams across design, imaging and PR. Live Broadcast/Show Taping Be present in person or via video call for broadcasts and tapings of shows/talk breaks/interviews Direct broadcast/taping Ensure adherence to Apple Music and broadcast standards and requirements Coach and manage talent Music logs Post Production Update the show episode tracker Work with technical producers to make sure creative vision is delivered in post production Quality check audio and video assets before sharing with Artist teams and Talent Gather broadcast details & social handle info to send to artists that feature on the episode Supply assets to PR & marketing/social team

- Experience in producing high level radio and audio content with an understanding of both pre-recorded and live radio production
- Experience leading a high level, live or pre-recorded radio production in a broadcast studio.
- Understand how to weave creative overall Radio programming strategies into content that is produced and broadcast.
- Experience working closely with a variety of high-level talent and artists
- Experience acting as the point of contact for key cross functional relationships
Preferred Qualifications
- Strong interpersonal skills including the ability to motivate, lead, and inspire the team and talent they work with
- Excellent communication, planning and time management skills to ensure productions run on time
- Calm under pressure and approach challenges with flexibility, particularly in a studio environment
- Able to work quickly and efficiently without compromising quality
- Building networks cross functionally will help lead to success in this role
- Ability to create a fun environment in the studio while delivering on great work
- Experience in developing show outlines, story arcs, and guest research and prep; must also have the ability to adapt content to fit the voice of the host or talent they are working with
- Reliable, trustworthy and good editorial judgement.
- Creative and able to continuously source or generate ideas
- Technically confident in a studio, with understanding of the end-to-end technical process, must possess a readiness to learn about emerging technologies or new tools
- Curious, a fascination with music, people and a love of storytelling
- Spanish Fluency; written and verbal strongly preferred. Other second language skills desired
