Description

Are you passionate about technology, efficiency, and building software that is used by millions of people every day? The successful candidate for this role is a team-oriented professional with excellent communication skills and is comfortable with collaborating in a fast paced environment. As a software engineer on the VPG Platform Ecosystem team, your responsibilities will range from defining, designing, and implementing new features and programmatic interfaces, to fixing bugs, iterating on existing features and focusing on performance. You should have a strong understanding of object-oriented software design, great debugging skills, and an eagerness to work hard and learn a lot.

Minimum Qualifications

  • At least 5 years of professional experience in software development with the following skills:
  • BS Computer Science or equivalent degree
  • Framework development for client applications
  • Modern software development methodologies
  • Programming in C, Objective-C and Swift
  • Problems solving, critical thinking, and excellent communication skills
  • Understanding of optimization and performance issues across OS software layers

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge of Apple's development APIs (Cocoa, Cocoa Touch, CoreFoundation, CoreGraphics, etc.)
  • Knowledge of Apple's Metal graphics technology
  • Experience developing reusable public or private APIs

Pay & Benefits

    At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $157,800 and $280,800, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.

    Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple's discretionary employee stock programs.
