Description

We are constantly evolving our systems at Apple, and the next big thing in the tools used by the Graphics and Displays teams is just on the horizon. This Client Engineer is responsible for building client applications that execute the build steps to produce software for billions of devices. This includes writing clean Objective-C, Python, and/or Swift code, integrating with web APIs, and debugging issues. Many engineering teams across Apple use these tools and this engineer will have the opportunity to work with these teams to understand their interests and plan a path forward to deliver on those needs.
  • Highly proficient in Objective-C
  • Highly proficient in Python
  • Strong communication, project management, and organizational skills
  • Excellent problem solving, triaging, and debugging skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • 4+ years of client development or build experience
  • Familiarity with Swift
  • Experience building web services and APIs (REST, GraphQL, GRPC, OpenAPI, etc)
  • Familiarity with SQL databases (e.g. MySQL, Postgres, MariaDB, etc)
  • Self-motivated and proactive with demonstrated creative and critical thinking capabilities

Pay & Benefits

    At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $143,100 and $264,200, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.

    Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple's discretionary employee stock programs. Apple employees are eligible for discretionary restricted stock unit awards, and can purchase Apple stock at a discount if voluntarily participating in Apple's Employee Stock Purchase Plan.
