The Camera tuning team is searching for highly skilled and innovative engineer who will play a key role in tuning and defining still image quality as well as user behavior for iOS camera products

Description
Our products have a considerable complexity and rich feature set that push our hardware and software to the edge. We are looking for a great teammate who will be responsible for the image quality tuning of iOS cameras algorithms. This role requires an understanding of different ISP and framework components and their impact on image quality, a clear vision of what constitutes a phenomenal camera, and a strong dedication to drive features into better camera user experience. You will contribute directly to a variety of cutting edging technologies, such as Deep fusion, HDR, Portrait mode, and various algorithm development. You will participate in quality evaluations for new features and algorithms through experimental studies, provide direct feedback to the engineering teams. In this role you'll be a critical part of a fast-paced, collaborative team and who thrive in a high energy, time-constrained, multitasking environment.
Minimum Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years experience as an image quality testing, tuning or image processing algorithms engineer
- Understanding and hands-on experience of ISP 3A, de-noising, fusion, tone-mapping algorithms
- Experience with iOS / macOS app development is a plus
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with software and hardware on consumer devices and cell phone cameras is a plus
- Working knowledge or research of human vision and psychophysics is a plus
- Strong track record in cross-functional collaboration and communications
- Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Color Science or equivalent experience
Pay & Benefits
- At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $112,300 and $195,200, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
