As a Camera & Photos Performance Automation engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring our automation tests and infrastructure continue running smoothly. You will learn our performance metrics, triage and analyze results, and file performance bugs. You will work closely with engineering team to help debug and validate our performance optimization. On top of testing shipping features, you will be part of the feature team to develop new robust and reliable performance automation for new upcoming features. This role involves close collaboration in a cross-functional team consisting of Software QA, Software Engineering and Performance Engineering.
Minimum Qualifications
- Excellent knowledge of software development lifecycle, test methodologies, tools and passion for quality
- Experience in writing test plans and automating test cases
- 1-5 years experience developing in Python and/or Swift
- Good software debugging skills on iOS and macOS
Preferred Qualifications
- Ability to dive deep technically
- Strong organizational and communication skills- Experience in XCTest and Xcode
- Experience in iOS and/or macOS automation
- Experience in architecting, defining, designing, and developing test automation frameworks
- Knowledge in performance testing and engineering is a plus
Pay & Benefits
- At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $143,100 and $264,200, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
