Description
The ECAD Librarian will support all projects in development at Apple and will chip in to the evolution of the design process and tools as our organization continues to grow and will be part of testing and evaluating new tools or tools features. Primary responsibilities include: - Developing and maintaining the ECAD library which involves creation of 3D models, PCB and logical symbols and handling ECAD data in Perforce, Team Center, Calypso and PLM system. - Providing ongoing ECAD library support. - Acquiring a good understanding of, and enforcing current ECAD standards and Design for manufacturing guidelines while chipping in to improving current design process - Supporting schematic development by debugging netlist issues. - Supporting designs for simulation by working in collaboration with Electrical and Component Engineers

Minimum Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years working knowledge of Cadence Schematic Capture, Allegro PCB Board Design, Symbol Editor, CAD Libraries or Mechanical Drafting experience
- Bachelor Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent
Preferred Qualifications
- EE, as well as Mechanical background is preferred
- Experience in 3D modeling and basic drafting skills is considered a plus
- Scripting in Perl or Python is considered a plus
Pay & Benefits
- At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $112,900 and $234,700, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
