Description

The BlackLine Transformation Global Lead is a key member of the R2R Global Process Organization (GPO). The R2R GPO team is responsible for defining the vision and strategic roadmap for the R2R organization, including global standardization, optimization of process and systems and developing a governance framework for rock-solid compliance and meaningful reporting. The BlackLine Transformation Global Lead will support Apple's global financial close automation strategy, with key contributions in supporting the global implementation of BlackLine's financial close automation solutions, providing ongoing system administration and production support, and identifying new automation opportunities. Key Responsibilities: • Provide subject matter expertise for BlackLine financial close automation solutions (e.g. Account Reconciliations, Journal Creation, Transaction Matching, and Task Management) • Support Apple's global implementation and roll-out of BlackLine solutions • Partner with global stakeholders to transform close processes by identifying and implementing new Blackline use cases to maximize ROI • Implement and/or modify configurations across the solution, as required for new use cases and optimization of existing use cases • Manage ongoing governance around global use of BlackLine, including standardization of process, reporting, policy adherence, and utilization tracking • Drive strong internal control environment through utilization of both manual and system controls • Support internal and external audit of the BlackLine and its control environment • Own data maintenance and recurring system administration responsibilities • Diagnose and resolve production system issues • Onboard new checklists using Task Management module • Provide in depth training for current and prospective BlackLine users • Manage BlackLine access for new and existing users • Create and manage BlackLine reports to provide visibility to stakeholders and discover actionable insights
  • 6 years professional experience in Accounting and Finance functions, preferably in the R2R function

Preferred Qualifications

  • In depth knowledge of US GAAP, IFRS, SOX, general ledger and technical accounting
  • Hands-on experience with end-to-end R2R operational processes, including close activities, balance sheet reconciliations, and journal voucher creation.
  • Demonstrated success with business process re-engineering, resulting in process improvement, elimination of non-value additive work, and efficiency improvements
  • Passion for driving global process improvements and system automation, while maintaining a strong internal control environment
  • Global perspective and recognition of opportunities to align processes across GBS regions
  • Mature, responsible, driven individual that is able to work independently with minimal direct supervision
  • Detailed and meticulous, with outstanding attention to detail with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to think creatively and develop innovative solutions
  • CPA/Qualified Accountant designation is highly desirable
