Description

The Battery team is looking for battery algorithm software engineer to design advanced battery and power management algorithms and develop software tools and applications for various Apple products. You will be working with a cross-function team including algorithms, software, and system engineers. The role involves developing algorithmic solutions for improving customer experience with Apple batteries. An ideal candidate will perform in-depth analysis of solution and its customer impact by running Monte-Carlo simulations, planning and reviewing test data. This role expects individual to deliver high quality, efficient, and scalable production level code. The role will provide exposure to various cross language tool development with cloud integration.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Master's degree or equivalent job-related experience in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field
  • Experience in control system engineering
  • Experience with C/C++

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience developing applications using high level languages like Python, MATLAB, objective C or JavaScript
  • Experience modeling and simulation of battery management or similar applications
  • Excellent debugging skills to tackle challenging problems
  • Ability to independently learn new technologies, prototype and design software
  • Excellent spoken and written communication skills
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams

Pay & Benefits

    At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $143,100 and $264,200, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.

    Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple's discretionary employee stock programs. Apple employees are eligible for discretionary restricted stock unit awards, and can purchase Apple stock at a discount if voluntarily participating in Apple's Employee Stock Purchase Plan.
