As an Audio Products Fit Engineering Program Manager (EPM), you will be responsible for managing the Development and Validation processes of future Audio product form factors in partnership with our Product Design and Fit teams. You'll drive strategic and day-to-day activities to meet key program objectives focusing on product definition and validation of Product Design and Fit. Description

- Support product form-factor definition and close architecture and technical gaps early in projects - Drive Product Fit definition and align program objectives with engineering, research, design, and leadership - Work with Audio Product Fit and Comfort teams to create a productive and healthy cross-functional culture. - Leverage experience for data analysis and statistics to guide project direction - Drive engineering and research teams to execute key studies and project deliverables. - Identify and mitigate technical risks in partnership with a variety teams to drive them to closure and maintain schedules - Streamline and innovate on an efficient development process across teams - Act as the voice of Audio Fit across forums and interactions. - Plan and execute validation studies with design, project management, and hardware manufacturing teams - Communicate status across a wide-ranging audience through written and verbal communication - Manage Product Fit program plans including schedule and budget from early concept through product validation
  • BS/MS degree in Mechanical, Biomechanics engineering, or equivalent
  • At least 7 years of experience working in product development from concept through validation. 3 or more years in program management
  • Experience working with a highly cross-functional team on product incubation and/or product definition.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Excellent communication, collaboration, organizational, presentation and leadership skills
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to effectively manage complex, ground-breaking incubation and validation strategies
  • Deep understanding of collaborative work throughout new product development; able to navigate uncertainty and changes in direction
  • Experience in delivering products or technologies with cross-functional and competing dependencies requiring end-user testing and validation
  • Experience in data analysis and clear presentation of research outcomes
  • Experience in relevant user-facing or scientific research is highly desirable, including interfacing with human factors, biomechanics, or other human research groups
  • Experience interfacing with cross functional teams including Mechanical Engineering and Manufacturing, Systems Engineering, and Industrial Design
  • Thrives in ambiguous situations and driving closure across multiple cross-functional teams
  • Self motivated and proactive with demonstrated creative and critical thinking capabilities

Pay & Benefits

    At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $165,500 and $293,800, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.

    Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple's discretionary employee stock programs. Apple employees are eligible for discretionary restricted stock unit awards, and can purchase Apple stock at a discount if voluntarily participating in Apple's Employee Stock Purchase Plan.
