Description

Apple is looking for an Associate Creative Director, Creative Technologist, to join the Marcom Special Projects Group. In this role you would lead a team responsible for developing technology to drive innovation in interactive experiences, across multiple platforms, with a focus on emerging technologies such as generative AI. Your time in the studio will be spent collaboratively researching, writing code, prototyping, presenting, and debating ideas. You'll be responsible for discovering and developing new research, educating and driving adoption of emerging technologies in internal workflows and new customer experiences. Your clear vision of the future of design and technology will inspire our team and others to push the boundaries of what's possible. RESPONSIBILITIES - Lead, mentor, and empower a team of creative technologists, fostering an environment of continuous learning, agile adaptation to new technologies, and rapid prototype development. - Develop prototypes of world-class interactive product experiences, using a deep understanding of generative AI and user interface principles. - Quickly grasp and distill highly complex, ambiguous concepts of nascent technologies and turn them into simple, useful and delightful product experiences. - Write software for internal tools and define processes that advance Marcom's creative pursuits across multiple platforms including web, native, spatial and generative AI. - Conduct open-ended research, including designing experiments with LLMs, diffusion models and agents while writing reusable code, running evaluations, and organizing results. - Act as the primary technical communicator, simplifying intricate concepts into clear, actionable insights for both technical and non-technical stakeholders. - Collaborate with engineering teams across Apple to transform prototypes into production-ready solutions. - Exhibit collaborative and diplomatic fluency within a multi-disciplinary design studio, using exceptional communication, presentation and organizational skills - Anticipate emerging technological trends and proactively steer the team towards innovative solutions that set industry standards. - Implement best practices and refine processes that enhance team agility, productivity, and the continuous integration of emerging technologies.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Prior experience in a management role with direct reports under your guidance within a creative agency or similar tech-driven environment.
  • A diverse portfolio demonstrating proficiency in web and native Apple platform development, including projects utilizing generative AI.
  • Ability to rapidly adapt and implement new technologies in the service of project goals.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to build trust and influence while advocating for your ideas.
  • Bachelor's degree.

Preferred Qualifications

  • At least 7 years experience in creative tech/ R&D environment, with an emphasis in implementing emerging technologies.
  • Excellent conceptual skills accompanied by the ability to guide, evaluate, and redirect creative and technical development.
  • Creates hi-fidelity interactive prototypes and thinks through complex interaction design.
  • Cuts through ambiguity and finds a path forward, despite uncertainty or challenges.
  • Subject matter technical expert, paired with high level of curiosity and eagerness to learn.
  • Proficiency in Python and familiarity with ML tooling such as PyTorch or TensorFlow.
  • Hands-on experience fine-tuning, debugging and optimizing model performance through experimentation.
  • Experience building frameworks around models to apply AI solutions to specific problems.
  • Ability to educate and inspire others, influencing the adoption of new technologies and workflows.
  • Diligent, flexible, resourceful, and independent with a strong work ethic and organizational skills.
  • Degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Computer Science, or a related field.

Pay & Benefits

At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $219,300 and $329,600, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.

Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple's discretionary employee stock programs. Apple employees are eligible for discretionary restricted stock unit awards, and can purchase Apple stock at a discount if voluntarily participating in Apple's Employee Stock Purchase Plan.
