Apple's AppleCare Support Engineering team is looking for an extraordinary Engineering Project Manager with deep understanding and genuine passion for running programs, building complex cross-functional products and components in Apple's fast paced environment using top of the line cutting edge technologies. In this role you will manage tentpole initiatives across the AppleCare space to support initiatives with Software Engineering partners. Description

This role will support new programs and drive product innovations by working collaboratively with AppleCare and Software Engineering. The focus will be to support business stakeholders to drive AppleCare solutions as part of the full lifecycle software development process. This includes costing analysis, driving investigations and managing high level program and new product introductions. This individual will manage the evolution of the multi-year AppleCare improvements roadmap.

Minimum Qualifications

  • 10+ years combined experience in engineering project or product management
  • Solid understanding of software lifecycle and AppleCare landscape
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills as well as strong organizational skills
  • Ability to juggle and complete multiple tasks
  • Excellent leadership and influencing skills
  • Works independently but highlights program updates via communication deliverables

Preferred Qualifications

  • Proficient at managing multiple efforts simultaneously
  • Self-motivated and pro-active with demonstrated creative and critical thinking capabilities
  • Engineering/ Technical background preferred
  • Develop and execute work plans by leading scope, schedule, deliverables, and prioritization
  • Actively and expertly collaborate with business and engineering teams on innovative solutions, requirements, scope, and project deliverables
  • Proactively identify and communicate project issues and risks
  • Prioritize issues while negotiating and setting appropriate expectations with team members, stakeholders and senior management
  • Prioritize team activities and drive resolution of issues across all areas of the project
  • As an application Product owner, define product vision and align Business expectations
  • Gain insight into Business direction and think through its impact on Product and drive changes
  • Develop user empathy and be able to present metrics on existing feature usage to supplement/justify ask for new feature
