Help Apple Pay & Wallet deliver amazing new commerce experiences for Apple customers around the world. Apple Pay is a leading digital wallet for iOS customers in over 80 markets and growing rapidly, including e-commerce, transit, loyalty, and other product areas. We are looking for a Strategy & Business Performance Analyst to apply market data to derive insights on Apple Pay's business performance, dissect the latest trends, and provide strategic recommendations on future product road map. Being an integral part of the multi-functional business teams, you will collaborate closely with product managers, data scientists, and business teams to identify underlying drivers of business performance, assess risks and opportunities, and provide performance updates to multi-functional and executive teams. Core responsibilities include business performance reporting and analysis, forecasting and modeling, and industry research. You will formulate actionable recommendations through your quantitative analysis, manage the financial performance of Apple Pay products, and communicate effectively across all levels of audience. This role will also focus on strategy for Apple Pay's fast-evolving platform product portfolio. We, Apple Pay's strategy team, develop unique perspectives on Apple Pay's core businesses and ecosystem to help craft future product roadmaps. You will directly contribute to the development of new products through analysis such as market sizing and opportunity analysis. This is a high-impact role offering an outstanding opportunity to provide the business with critical view of its performance, drive and influence decisions impacting the immediate and long-term view of the business, and advise the leadership across Apple Pay teams globally.

Description
Analyze Apple Pay's business performance and derive actionable insights on emerging drivers. Facilitate ongoing performance reporting across Apple Pay's product portfolio. Establish and manage metric forecasts underpinning product performance. Assist annual and long-term business planning and forecasting. Prepare and deliver clear and insightful reports and analysis highlighting key trends, risks, and opportunities. Support product strategy analysis end-to-end, from financial sizing to ongoing tracking & reporting. Collaborate closely with product, analytics, business, and data science teams to deep dive into business performance and improve reporting dashboards on key operational metrics. Perform quantitative analysis including market research, pricing, competitive analysis, and financial modeling. Create benchmarking tools to evaluate and track Apple Pay performance by product and partner. This high-impact role includes frequent interactions with key internal and external partners. This role will have the opportunity to work directly across product, data science, engineering, business development and operations teams to influence Apple Pay's strategic decision making.
Minimum Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of experience in Consulting, Investment Banking, Corporate Strategy, Strategic Finance, and/or similar strategy and planning functions in a global, fast-paced organization
- Degree in Finance or a quantitative field from a top-tier institution
Preferred Qualifications
- Excellent analytical and financial modeling skills; outstanding expertise in Excel
- Comfort with ambiguity. Ability to structure complex analysis through data analysis and strategy research
- Ability to communicate effectively, both in written and verbal form with senior leaders
- Ability to write data queries (eg. SQL) is strongly preferred. Knowledge of statistical languages such as R or Python, and data visualization (eg. Tableau) skills is also strongly preferred but not required
- Knowledge of digital payments, mobile commerce, or related industries is preferred
Pay & Benefits
- At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $115,100 and $216,900, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
