The AirPods team is seeking a hardworking System Electrical Engineer to join the engineering team! The team is responsible for developing and delivering all future AirPods products. Responsibilities include architecture, design, integration, validation, and documentation of various analog mixed signals subsystems: power, battery management, and audio. In this role, you will become the subsystem or domain expert and will be at the center of cross-functional interactions for that feature throughout the entire new product development cycle.
Description
Lead and work with cross-functional teams on subsystem architecture, component selection, design analysis and simulations, schematic and layout reviews, product and manufacturing support, and HW/FW bring-up and validation. Support hardware prototyping and demos, spec drafting and data sheet reviews, and new silicon development (design reviews, bring-up, characterization, and status tracking).

Minimum Qualifications
- BS/MS EE or equivalent
- 7+ years overall experience in industry
- Deep understanding of power and audio mixed-signal building blocks (e.g. PMIC, DC-DC switching converter, LDO, charger, battery, protection, speaker amp, microphone, amplifier, filter, ADC, DAC)
- Strong analog/mixed-signal analysis (simulations, tolerance analysis, noise, linearity, signal-integrity, timing, etc.)
Preferred Qualifications
- Excellent interpersonal skills, both verbal and written communication
- Experience in designing low-power, high volume consumer products
- Experience in prototyping, characterizing, and debugging mixed-signal hardware
- Experience with digital interface such as I2C, SPI, I2S, PDM, etc
- Experience with scripting languages such as Matlab and Python
