Description
As an AirPlay frameworks engineer, you will be responsible for prototyping breakthrough ideas in AirPlay frameworks. This includes new apis for device discovery, connections, and media sharing, helping define a standard for AirPlay features. You will influence the overall systems design and help build the future of AirPlay. To be successful in this role, you need to be versatile and able to thrive in a fast paced environment. You must be a team-oriented professional with excellent communication skills, excellent judgment, integrity and the ability to make timely and sound decisions. You must have strong technical and programming skills, and a solid understanding of multithreaded programming and programming on realtime systems. You have experience in API design and maintenance. A background in Video or Audio technologies, and a good understanding of the various media formats is a plus.
Minimum Qualifications
- Strong programming skills with C/C++.
- Experience in API design and maintenance
- BS/MS in Computer Science or equivalent
- Familiarity with Media Playback fundamentals, audio and/or video streaming
Preferred Qualifications
- Solid understanding of multithreading and concurrency fundamentals
- OS X / Darwin experience is a major plus
- Objective C, swift experience is a plus
- Experience with A/V synchronization technology
Pay & Benefits
- At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $143,100 and $264,200, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
