Description

We are seeking a talented and motivated ML Platform Engineer to design, develop, and maintain scalable systems for evaluation and continuous optimization in support of Apple Intelligence products. You will work in a highly cross-functional, fast-paced environment at the intersection of applied machine learning (ML) and product teams. Your primary responsibility will be to create robust, reliable, and scalable platforms that enable continuous improvement of ML models and products through systematic evaluation and optimization. - Design and implement scalable platforms for the evaluation and continuous optimization (hill climbing) of ML-based products. - Collaborate with applied ML and product teams to align technical solutions with business and product goals. - Ensure platforms meet high standards for scalability, performance, and fault tolerance. - Actively contribute to the development of best practices for system design and engineering processes.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Strong experience in designing and deploying large-scale, reliable, and scalable systems.
  • Proficiency in one or more programming languages commonly used in ML and systems engineering (e.g., Python, Swift).
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with a focus on delivering practical solutions in complex environments.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Familiarity with ML workflows, tools, and techniques, and their application in product environments.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills for cross-functional teamwork.
  • Experience in working in a fast-paced, iterative development environment with diverse stakeholders.

Pay & Benefits

    At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $175,800 and $312,200, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.

    Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple's discretionary employee stock programs. Apple employees are eligible for discretionary restricted stock unit awards, and can purchase Apple stock at a discount if voluntarily participating in Apple's Employee Stock Purchase Plan.
