Description
In this role, the individual is expected to lead and grow the ML Engineering team focused on creating frameworks and platforms for evaluating Apple Intelligence. The individual is expected to communicate with ML leaders at Apple, comprehend and utilize the latest research, and adopt, architect, and implement processes and platforms for model evaluation and improvement.

Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Machine Learning, Data Science, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in machine learning, data science, or related fields, with a focus on model evaluation and validation.
- Proven leadership experience, including managing and mentoring teams of engineers or data scientists.
- Strong understanding of statistical methods, performance metrics, and evaluation frameworks for ML models.
- Hands-on experience with ML tools, libraries, and platforms such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, or similar.
- Proficiency in Python.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Demonstrated ability to drive large-scale projects, manage competing priorities, and deliver results.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's or PhD in STEM.
- Experience working with large-scale, distributed systems and cloud-based ML pipelines.
- Experience with data analysis tools and techniques for presenting evaluation results.
Pay & Benefits
- At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $197,400 and $360,200, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
