Description
Apple is hiring an ML engineer for Knowledge team . You'll be working at the frontier of AI, crunching massive amounts of data for Apple's knowledge base. In a dynamic, continuously-integrated environment, you'll design and implement robust, scalable data/ML pipelines capable of processing an ever-growing data set while keeping latency low and quality high. You'll work closely with diverse data sources to integrate new knowledge, and with engineers from across Apple to deliver knowledge for customer-facing services. Your responsibilities will also include developing tools and tests to ensure quality and help diagnose issues.
- Background in computer science: algorithms, data structures, and distributed systems
- Experience working in a cloud-native environment such as AWS
- Experience working with large-scale data processing pipelines (Spark, Cassandra, etc.)
- Experience with micro-service architecture in a containerized environment (Docker, Kubernetes, etc.)
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines for building, testing, and deploying code (Jenkins, Spinnaker, etc.)
- Bachelor's, Master's degree in Computer Science or equivalent work experience
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with observability tools for monitoring applications (Prometheus, DataDog, etc.)
- Experience with Scala and Go is a plus
- Excellent interpersonal skills, able to work independently as well as in a team
Pay & Benefits
- At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $135,400 and $250,600, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple's discretionary employee stock programs.
