We're looking for an exceptional Engineering Program Manager who is passionate about Apple's products and values; who loves working with infrastructure technologies at scale; and is committed to the hard work vital to continuously improve. This is a highly technical, hands-on position where you will work with Foundation Model platform & infrastructure teams to optimize inference for cutting edge model architectures. The ideal candidate will have a solid track record of building production grade solutions to launch models serving millions of customers in real time.

Description

In this role you will work closely with Foundation model platform and infrastructure teams to identify gaps in current inference solutions for different hardware and use cases. - Collaborate with vendors, understand their roadmap & delivery-timeline and communicate effectively back to engineering teams on solutions. - Work with stakeholders on new and existing projects; drive functional and technical design discussions, cross-functional negotiations, planning, execution, delivery, documentation and more. - Build relationships across the AIML organization and facilitate communication between groups. - Be the voice for our customers; do whatever it takes to deliver the highest quality experience to our customers.
  • 3+ years of Technical Program/Project Management experience in dynamic, fast paced environment.
  • Self-motivated, independent, and proactive; demonstrated creative and critical thinking capabilities; can quickly (realtime) triage, prioritize, and lead cross-functional teams under pressure.
  • Outstanding communication and presentation skills, written and verbal, to all levels of an organization. High operational precision and attention to detail.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 5+ years of Technical Program Management with experience covering as many of the following as possible: global internet services, a large-scale & international user base, distributed computing, a product with external dependencies (e.g. partner data feeds), and responsibility for rapid-response actions.
  • Strong technical experience with cloud technologies and infrastructure. Engineering experience is a plus.
  • Innate drive to improve how things work, with proven track record of driving dramatic improvements for team quality, performance, agility, or effectiveness.
  • Strong analytical skills to identify, assess, and solve complex technical issues.
  • Capability to foster collaboration between cross-functional teams
  • BS/MS EE/CS/CE in a relevant field or equivalent practical experience

Pay & Benefits

    At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $129,600 and $236,300, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.

    Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple's discretionary employee stock programs. Apple employees are eligible for discretionary restricted stock unit awards, and can purchase Apple stock at a discount if voluntarily participating in Apple's Employee Stock Purchase Plan.
