The Siri Customer Experiences team is seeking an engineering manager. The team's charter is to create amazing experiences to help users discover what they can do and accelerate tasks using Siri. You will lead a small, fast-paced team responsible for building experiences for millions of our users and making Siri a staple in their lives. Would you like to make an impact on this scale? Description

You will be responsible for leading a team delivering contextual suggestions for Siri to accelerate their tasks and help users get things done more quickly, Siri's help content, and participating in the roadmap of future discoverability, awareness, and acceleration initiatives. To succeed in this role, you must be a creative leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment, working across teams and organizations. You have a passion for user experience and distributed systems at a massive scale, pursuing impossible problems. You enjoy learning new technologies and possess strong skills in object-oriented software design. Performance analysis and tuning will also be a responsibility of your team's responsibilities, so you will need a deep understanding of systems engineering and performance implications for on-device software. You are passionate about working closely with the design team to develop new user experiences, maintain existing code, and create new platform features and technologies. You'll also be coaching team members and leading aspects of project management, partnering with the larger organization.

Minimum Qualifications

  • 2+ years of experience leading a team in iOS or macOS development
  • Demonstrated experience managing a team shipping customer-facing features for iOS or macOS
  • Knowledge of Swift or Objective-C and the Apple development environment
  • Excellent interpersonal skills in a collaborative team environment

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working in large codebases and familiarity with distributed process concepts
  • Experience with ranking and optimization

Pay & Benefits

    At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $181,000 and $313,000, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.

    Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple's discretionary employee stock programs. Apple employees are eligible for discretionary restricted stock unit awards, and can purchase Apple stock at a discount if voluntarily participating in Apple's Employee Stock Purchase Plan.
