Apple's Employee Relations organization is a global team that assists managers and the People Team in employee issues and concerns including policy interpretation, investigations and compliance. Accommodation Business Partners design and administer proactive programs, procedures and plans related to employee relations. In this role, you will provide advice and training to ER Business Partners, People Business Partners, managers and employees on employee relations issues related to medical conditions, leave policies and reasonable accommodations. You will help improve ER efficiencies with metric-driven continuous improvement, and ensures that legal requirements are met to minimize exposure to liability.

As Apple's Accommodations Business Partner, you provide initial support including consulting with managers, employees, Employee Relations Business Partners, and People Business Partners on a myriad of concerns including: leaves of absence, reasonable accommodations, unauthorized Leaves, position Backfill Requests, and returns from leave of absence with complex accommodations. You will lead Job Searches from start to conclusion. Accommodations Business Partners manage a high volume of accommodation and leave cases, all while managing communication flow from multiple sources in effort to reduce delays on employee requests for assistance. You will provide support for Apple internal partners, like Accessibility, Facilities and EH&S to streamline accommodation processes/support for employees. Review on a monthly/quarterly basis to assess where action can be taken to identify trends, simplify a process, support consistency across the global Accommodation team, train managers, etc. in order to support a growing client base. Will also lead or support ER projects/initiatives as needed.
Minimum Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience triaging and analyzing multiple (simple and sophisticated) accommodation requests in a high volume capacity, or related experience as a line HR manager with focused Employee Relations and Accommodation experience
- Comprehensive understanding of U.S. Leave laws, deep subject matter expert of ADA/ADAAA regulations, and implementation experience
- Experience providing consultation of the accommodation process to managers, HR professionals, employees, and/or business partners.
- Demonstrable track record driving resolution on a wide range of leave and accommodation issues, including ADA analysis and practical application.
- Ability to work independently, including the ability to effectively coordinate, prioritize, and balance multiple assignments simultaneously
- BA or 5+ years of equivalent job experience

- Ability to build positive relationships and work collaboratively with leadership, internal and external partners and People team (HR) colleagues
- Demonstrated command skills and an ability express thoughts in a clear and concise manner & influence others
- Superb communication skills including effective listening, writing and presentation
- Project Management experience
Pay & Benefits
- At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $133,900 and $201,300, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
