This role is instrumental in managing 3DVM's comprehensive development database for Apple's retail stores, channel environments and corporate events. This includes product displays, visual merchandising fixtures, and specialty installations. The manager will use their experience to provide strategic direction and analytical thinking, oversee high-impact projects, and ensure the seamless integration with documentation processes. This person will work closely with the Documentation and Standards teams to ensure all data collection and database management align with internal, vendor and cross-functional teams expectations.

Description

The Systems Documentation Manager leads process and optimization, and seeks out collaborative efficiencies of shared database components. This role drives project planning, budgets, estimates, timelines, supplier engagement/management. Additional responsibilities include, but are not limited to: - Project Management: Manage multiple projects simultaneously, including budget management, timeline adherence, and status updates. Execute against project strategy and negotiate project shifts with flexible, innovative and strategic approach. - Cross-Functional Collaboration: Forge positive relationships with Design Project Management, Creative, Producers, Operations, Finance, Corporate Procurement, Legal, and Production teams. Educate and influence internal and XF teams with updates to Systems on an ongoing basis to allow for efficient development across all projects. - Vendor and Supplier Management: Engage with our suppliers and agencies, leading them in establishing protocols and optimization. - Problem-Solving: Drive innovative approaches to the 3DVM Data Management process, infrastructure, and optimization, create presentations and data visualizations. Proactively identifying and addressing challenges with creative, strategic thinking.

Minimum Qualifications

  • A minimum of 7 of experience in events, exhibition and/or retail fixture development.
  • At least 5 years of production documentation experience with a focus on data analytics or information modeling.
  • Experience in strategic project management within, but not limited to, a design agency, architecture firm, or in-house studio.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Technical Expertise: Deep familiarity with a wide variety of production methods, architectural and engineering drawings, along with sophisticated knowledge of project management tools, databases, fixture development standards and construction practices.
  • Project Leadership: Strong leadership skills with the ability to mentor and guide teams, handle cross-functional collaboration, and drive project
  • Communication: Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain influential relationships with collaborators at all levels.
  • Attention to Detail: Strong eye for quality, intuitive navigation of data and technical details.
  • Innovative Thinking: Demonstrated ability to develop and implement innovative solutions and optimize processes for maximum efficiency.
  • Strategic Vision: Experience leading strategic initiatives and managing high-impact projects with complex physical 3D deliverables.
  • Experience using FileMaker.
  • Bachelor's degree preferred, or equivalent relevant experience.

Pay & Benefits

At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $143,900 and $216,900, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
