Responsibilities:

  • Set and implement the digital marketing strategy for Appian that aligns with the overall company vision and marketing/GTM strategy
  • Oversee digital operations to increase demand, enhance sales and our overall customer experience, identify additional engagement and sales channels, attract quality traffic to our web properties, and promote our online presence. This applies for existing customers and partners as well as net new prospects.

  • Create and innovate on programs to drive increased quality traffic to Appian web properties as well as more personalized experiences for segments and cohorts of visitors
  • Leverage, recommend and implement marketing technologies (working closely with Business Technology) to implement a world class digital experience spanning market awareness, education, and demand generation.
  • This role serves on the Marketing leadership team to set and drive overall marketing strategy, objectives, and programs
  • Lead the evolution of our web properties, paid media programs, SEO, marketing operations functions,
  • Implement a framework for experimentation and learning for our digital initiatives
  • Regularly manage and review pipeline performance metrics with key stakeholders, including leaders and analyse ROI by campaign, channel, segment and source in order to improve lead and pipeline quality.
  • Understand and leverage data and analysis of our digital content and how that impacts our customer engagement and sales pipeline.
  • Work collaboratively with Marketing leaders and teams, Rev Ops, Business Technology, Sales and Customer Success
  • Build and manage a team of high performing marketers and analysts focused on growing our presence and global business
  • Manage the department budget and make ROI centered decisions for near term and future investments.
  • Qualifications: About You:
    • Bachelor's Degree required
    • 12+ years B2B experience including leading diverse teams - functional and geographical
    • Confident with B2B software marketing performance KPIs and optimisations
    • Experienced in crafting and executing results-driven digital programs
    • Proven success in working collaboratively with Growth Marketing, Executive leadership, and Sales functions.
    • Critical thinking, problem solving skills, hands-on approach
    • Excellent project management skills
    • Strong verbal and written communication skills
    • Experienced in managing vendor relationships
    • Experienced in using CRM, Marketing Automation, web analytics systems/tools
