As the Employer Brand & Content Intern, you would work cohesively alongside our Talent Acquisition and Internal Communications teams to help support our internal and external employer brand strategy.

Our internship is based at our headquarters in McLean, VA. Appian was built on a culture of in-person collaboration, which we believe is a key driver of our mission to be the best. Interns hired for this position are expected to support 15-20/hours per week and work in the office 1-2 days a week to foster that culture and ensure we continue to thrive through shared ideas and teamwork. Ideally we're looking for someone who is able to commit to a full-year internship.

In this role, you would be responsible for:

  • Partnering with our Talent Acquisition team to align cross-channel social strategies with recruiting and hiring goals.
  • Writing, designing, and capturing engaging and compelling content (e.g., digital ads, social media graphics, blogs, emails, newsletters, etc.) that informs and motivates readers to take action.
  • Capturing, editing, and producing both photo and video for our career website and other platforms where Appian has employer brand presence.
  • Own the Advocacy Portal - manage adding and removing employees, run info campaigns on how to join and add social media messages for employees to share.
  • Run and analyze the performance of the digital campaigns and social media channels.

Requirements and qualifications:

  • Pursuing undergraduate or graduate degree in Marketing, Communications, Media or English (or related fields)
  • Ability to work 15-20 hours per week, ideally able to commit to a full-year internship (Summer 2025 - Summer 2026) To be able to effectively articulate data that supports the recruitment marketing driven activities to a variety of internal stakeholders
  • Outstanding organizational and time management skills
  • Excellent communications and interpersonal skills

Preferred, but not required:

  • Experience with Sprout, HootSuite, or any social media posting platforms
  • Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, Premiere (Highly Preferred) or other video editing software
