Your impact 
  • Review contracts, bill customers, and record revenue per company policy and US GAAP for various revenue streams and new offerings, as applicable.
  • Work closely with management to ensure amounts comply with revenue recognition rules and contract terms.
  • Support the monthly close process by preparing journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, and flux analysis. This includes (but is not limited to) revenue, deferred revenue, contra, and unbilled accounts.
  • Understand the fundamentals of revenue analysis and preparation of metrics to enhance performance insights.
  • Contribute to the design and implementation of new accounting systems, processes, and system automation (related to new product offerings).
  • Document processes for the various revenue streams and support an innovative environment that can scale as the business grows.
  • Work with cross-functional partners on an ongoing basis to support business processes and special projects.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and provide support for audits.

 

Qualifications 
  • Bachelor's Degree in accounting, finance, or related discipline.
  • 5+ years of experience in accounting, reporting, and compliance.
  • CPA required.
  • Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups, etc). 
  • Excellent knowledge of US GAAP and ability to drive resolution of technical accounting issues.
  • Revenue accounting experience including exposure to revenue recognition principles, revenue operation for month-end close, exposure to ASC 606, Hi-Tech, SaaS, or related industry experience preferred.
  • Accounting experience in a publicly traded company is preferred.
  • Strong financial systems background. Experience in Zuora, Excel, Salesforce, and Netsuite is preferred. 
  • Strong quantitative analysis and logical reasoning skills.
  • Ability to effectively communicate with internal and external constituents.
  • Proven track record for meeting critical deadlines.
  • Solid understanding of technical applications such as MS Office Suite, Google Suite, Salesforce.com, and Zoom.

 

Compensation & Benefits
The base salary that we reasonably expect to pay for this role is: $88,000 to 121,000.
The actual base salary for this role will be determined by a variety of factors, including but not limited to: the candidate’s skills, education, experience, etc. 
Please note that base pay is one important aspect of a compelling Total Rewards package. The base pay range indicated here does not include any additional benefits or bonuses/commissions that you may be eligible for based on your role and/or employment type.
