The Senior Manager of Sales Commissions will lead AppFolio’s end-to-end sales incentive pay processes, ensuring consistency in programs administered, managing effective communications, and continuously driving commission systems improvements, functionality, and accuracy.

Your impact
- Partner effectively with sales and finance leaders to drive sales compensation strategy and annual planning aligned with key business drivers and good sales contracting behavior.
- Manage sales compensation operations, including accruals, commission payouts, commission systems development, and administration of sales plans.
- Assist sales compensation strategy and planning to align with the short-term and long-term objectives.
- Review sales compensation calculations, including accruals and commission payments.
- Provide a robust assessment of the sales commission plan performance to key finance, HR, sales, and other executive leadership.
- Provide analytical support regarding ad hoc research and other related variable pay projects as identified by management.
Qualifications
- Degree in Accounting or Finance or related fields; MBA Preferred.
- 7+ years of experience; SaaS preferred.
- Experience with sales compensation planning.
- Experience supporting sales leadership.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a demonstrated ability to find solutions without specific step-by-step instructions.
- Highly organized and motivated with the ability to work on multiple projects while delivering results in a timely manner.
- Demonstrated success in building effective partnerships and managing relationships at all levels.
Must have
- Advanced proficiency in MS Excel is required.
- Experience with commissions administrative software required, preferably Xactly.
Compensation & Benefits
The base salary that we reasonably expect to pay for this role is: $138,400 - $173,000.
The actual base salary for this role will be determined by a variety of factors, including but not limited to: the candidate’s skills, education, experience, etc.
Please note that base pay is one important aspect of a compelling Total Rewards package. The base pay range indicated here does not include any additional benefits or bonuses/commissions that you may be eligible for based on your role and/or employment type.
