About the role
Appfire is looking for a Lead Software Engineer with Java. You will report to the Software Engineering Manager and be a member of the Workflow and Automation team.
This role requires you to work hybrid model from Sofia.
A Lead Software Engineer at Appfire has a cross-team impact - you'll be solving the most challenging (and rewarding) matters like the performance and reliability improvements of our Cloud and On-premise products, data residency and automatic cross-region data migration, and end-to-end testing. You also will be part of an engineering team, which is responsible for designing and implementing new features and also building and releasing new Cloud/On-premise based products from scratch. You will also coach and mentor newer team members about the application of best practices and help the team to make the right technical decisions. In our team knowledge sharing and making important technical decisions together is a key to our success.
As part of our engineering team, you will have the opportunity to work on some of our enterprise-class Workflow and Automation products, such as PowerScripts for Cloud and Data Center, Power Custom Fields and etc.
Of course, not every day will be about re-architecting our existing products, starting a new product, or saving the world. So expect to spend a lot of time working as a part of our product teams and devote your talent to delivering features that will delight our existing customers or create new opportunities.
Your everyday tasks will include:
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams: Work closely with the Product Management team, the Growth team and the Marketing team to understand and implement requirements focused on increasing our product adoption and activation, timely delivery and alignment with business goals.
- Product Roadmap: Focus on advancing the product roadmap by developing new features, improving existing functionality, and driving overall product enhancements. And work with cutting edge cloud technologies like Kuberentes and AWS.
- Maintenance and Support: Handle ongoing maintenance tasks and engage with the Support team to resolve L3 escalations
Skills and experience you'll need to succeed:
- 6+ years of professional software development experience
- Proficiency in Java, React, SQL, Spring boot
- Experience designing and developing high-performance, scalable and robust applications.
- Experience with AWS and Kubernetes
- Familiarity with Agile development methodologies and practice
- Ability to apply analytical and problem-solving skills to solve complex design and coding challenges.
- Skills in optimizing application performance, including front-end and back-end performance tuning
- Proven ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams, including product managers and growth leads.
