Scenario Simulation Platform

Summary / Role Purpose

We are seeking a 3D Web Application and Docker Integration Intern to join our team. The primary responsibility will be to integrate a dockerized scenario execution model into a 3D web-based application using React. You will work closely with our team to connect various processes to a simulation framework and develop a modular infrastructure that facilitates the addition of new modules. This role is ideal for a candidate passionate about Linux, software development, and cloud deployment technologies such as Kubernetes.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

In this role, your key activity will be to:

• Integrate a dockerized scenario execution model into a 3D web-based application using React.

• Connect multiple processes to a simulation framework, ensuring efficient data exchange and compliance with OSI standards.

• Develop bridges and connectors to streamline communication between different modules.

• Establish a modular infrastructure that supports the easy integration of new modules.

• Monitor the performance of the integrated system and optimize as needed.

• Implement Azure pipelines to automate the dockerization of executables and package them into a final standalone application.

• Automate build and deployment processes, including daily artifact creation and image builds.

• Understand and implement process scheduling to manage various tasks within the application.

• Deploy applications in a cloud environment, specifically using Kubernetes for orchestration.

Minimum Education/Certification Requirements and Experience

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.

• Experience with Linux and software development.

• Great understanding of containerization and Docker.

• Familiarity with web development using React.

• Good knowledge of cloud technologies and deployment, particularly Kubernetes.

Preferred Qualifications and Skills

• Experience with 3D web graphics and Three.js.

• Knowledge of process scheduling and its applications in software development.

• Experience with cloud platforms, especially Azure and Kubernetes.

• Familiarity with OSI standards for data exchange.

• Knowledge of Azure DevOps and creating automated pipelines.

• Strong problem-solving skills and a detail-oriented approach.

• A good sense of humor and exceptional GIF & Meme game :)
