Summary / Role Purpose
As an R&D Engineer trainee, you will support a team focusing on democratizing engineering simulation by building cloud-enabled Ansys web apps on top of the Ansys simulation products. You will contribute to the development of software products and supporting systems by collaborating with a team of expert professionals to understand customer requirements and achieve development objectives.
This position is part of the Ansys effort to recruit talented fresh graduates that are passionate about software development helping them launch their career in Ansys. During this traineeship, the R&D Engineer trainee will be provided with continuous role-based skills training and development as well as formal assessment and evaluations by a dedicated mentor.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
• Contribute to a growing code base centered in Python.
• Participate in modern software development practices to design, implement, and validate new features
• Work alongside software developers during the design, implementation and verification process.
• Investigate defects in production code.
• Write scripts to run testing responsibilities via unit or automated tests.
Minimum Education/Certification Requirements and Experience
• BSc in Computer Science with academic experience in programming using python.
• Availability to sign a Contrato formativo para la obtención de la práctica profesional.
• Excellent problem-solving skills.
• Value-oriented, self-motivated, fast learner.
• Strong interpersonal skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Fluent English spoken and written / C1 level
Preferred Qualifications and Skills
• A master's degree in computer science is a plus.
• Experience in using Microsoft Visual Studio and Software Configuration management tools (GIT).
• Knowledge of or experience with Agile and DevOps processes and tools.
• Knowledge of software design patterns and test-driven development.
