SUMMARY

The Field Marketing Manager will design, execute, and refine strategic marketing programs to support the Ansys Federal, Aerospace, and Defense (FA&D) team. This role requires expertise in field marketing, sales enablement, and event production to drive growth, account expansion, and brand visibility. The ideal candidate will have direct experience in the FA&D industry, leveraging deep market knowledge to craft impactful marketing initiatives that align with industry trends, sales priorities, and key customer needs.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Strategic Marketing & Campaign Execution

  • Develop and implement an account-focused marketing strategy tailored to the FA&D industry, focusing on top 30 key accounts.
  • Identify key industry trends, challenges, and initiatives to create compelling value propositions and drive targeted engagement.
  • Plan and execute a strategic mix of events, digital campaigns, and marketing programs to maximize impact and ROI.

Sales & Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Build strong partnerships with sales teams, aligning marketing efforts with their priorities to accelerate account growth.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams—including industry marketing, product marketing, corporate marketing, etc—to ensure consistency in messaging and strategy.
  • Provide regular updates and insights to sales and stakeholders on marketing activities, impact, and opportunities.

Event & Program Management

  • Oversee the planning, organization, and execution of high-impact trade shows, conferences, sponsorships, and executive events to strengthen brand presence and drive lead generation.
  • Localize and execute demand-generation programs to attract, nurture, and convert leads across the customer journey.
  • Utilize account intelligence and stakeholder mapping to create high-value executive event experiences that enhance relationships and advance sales opportunities.

Budget & Performance Management

  • Manage and allocate marketing program budgets efficiently, ensuring resources are optimized for maximum ROI.
  • Track and analyze campaign performance, leveraging data-driven insights to refine strategies and forecast future investments.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution.
  • 5+ years of experience in B2B or Account-Based Marketing (ABM), with a strong preference for FA&D industry experience in software or hardware marketing.
  • Proven success in partnering with sales organizations to develop and execute strategic marketing programs.
  • Expertise in field marketing and event production, with a track record of delivering high-impact marketing initiatives.
  • Strong analytical skills to measure campaign effectiveness, track performance, and adjust strategies based on insights.
  • Excellent communicator who can collaborate across teams, build alignment, and drive marketing-sourced opportunities.
  • Ability to travel at least 25% as needed.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience managing multiple concurrent projects in fast-paced, high-energy environments while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Self-starter with high personal accountability and ability to work independently while collaborating effectively.
  • Prior experience working with engineers, technical teams, or in engineering simulation is a plus.
