You will work in a highly collaborative and dynamic team environment. In this internship, you will support Electronics, Semiconductor & Optics Business Unit. This full-time position starts in August 2025 and ends in December 2025.
Responsibilities
In this internship, you will focus on developing python automation via PyAnsys for Lumerical products.
- Automation and Scripting: Create Python scripts to automate simulation tasks, data transfer, and result analysis between Lumerical and PyAnsys.
- Develop and Test Integration: Design and implement workflows to integrate Lumerical Python APIs with PyAnsys libraries for seamless simulation interoperability.
- Documentation and Support: Document integration processes, write user guides, and provide support.
Minimum qualifications
- Pursuing a bachelor's or master's degree in computer engineering, engineering, physics, computer science, sofware engineering, or a related field.
- Proficiency in Python, with experience in developing scripts and automating tasks.
- Experience using Lumerical's tools and/or other Ansys simulation tools.
- Excellent communication skills in written and spoken English.
Preferred qualifications
- Hands-on experience working with Lumerical Python APIs and/or PyAnsys libraries
- Knowledge of photonic and/or elecotromagnetic simulation principles and workflows
- Familiarity with version control tools (e.g., Git) and software development best practices.
- Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot and debug complex integration or scripting challenges.
- Experience working in cross-functional teams or contributing to open-source projects.
