Responsibilities:

• Manages preparation of Exchange pricing – including rate development, filing requirements and requests from regulatory authorities

• Provides actuarial certifications and opinions where required.

• Produces actuarial forecasts including revenue and claims, development of medical and pharmacy trends and analysis of benefit and population changes.

• Manages reporting and analyses identifying trends and profitability drivers for Exchange.

• Manages all other actuarial processes and analyses in support of Exchange.

• Responsible for management and execution of all actuarial functions in support of Exchange and assures that all work is done based on sound actuarial principles.;

• Responsible for managing all staff in support of Exchange, including organization, hiring, development and assuring quality work product.

Education/ Experience:;

• Bachelor’s Degree actuarial science, statistics, or mathematics or other business field required.

• Preferred but not required: Member of Academy of Actuaries with FSA or ASA.

• Minimum of 7 years progressively responsible actuarial experience in managed healthcare or related field, with significant project and/or people management experience.

• Experience working with ACA is highly preferred.

• Strong technical skills including MS Excel, MS Access, and SQL. SAS experience is preferred.
