Position Compensation Range:
$111,000.00 - $190,000.00

Primary Accountabilities
- Handle litigation involving either the corporation and/or its insured within established corporate guidelines and the applicable code of professional responsibility.
- Analyze file as litigation progresses. Evaluates cases and seeks settlement as necessary.
- Conduct discovery (e.g. written interrogatories, requests for production of documents, and depositions).
- Conduct motion practice.
- Draft all necessary pleadings, papers and briefs to advance litigation. Conducts necessary research in support of drafting activities.
- Advocate client position in all state court and alternative dispute resolution.
- Stay current on state statutes and court decisions and analyzes how statutes and court decisions affect the interpretation and enforceability of the various policy provisions.
- May have or develop areas of specialty practice (e.g. special property, workers` compensation, commercial coverage).
Specialized Knowledge & Skills Requirements
- Demonstrated experience providing customer-driven solutions, support or service
- Demonstrated experience preparing civil pleadings, motions and discovery and deposing witnesses.
- Demonstrated litigation experience.
- Solid knowledge and understanding of rules of Professional Responsibility for the jurisdiction in which they practice.
- Solid knowledge and understanding of tort, contract, and insurance law.
- Admitted to the state bar in Oregon with a preference to admission in both Oregon and Washington.
- Juris Doctor
Licenses
- Licensed in Oregon or Washington.
Travel Requirements
- Up to 50% generally within the state for hearings and trial.

- Work that primarily involves sitting/standing.
