Senior Sales Planning Manager (Primarily Office)

You will report to the Sales Director. You will lead staff responsible for business planning, project prioritization, resource allocation, and workforce planning for the sales state. You will collaborate with peers and partners to ensure the sales state's support resources are aligned with the strategic direction of the sales organization. You will provide oversight for the state's operational plan, budget, and project management processes and resources. Responsible for process improvement efforts.

In this primarily office-based role, you will be expected to spend at least 80% of your time (4+ days per week) working from Indiana.

Relocation Support Offered for Eligible Candidates.

Position Compensation Range:
$95,000.00 - $161,000.00

Compensation may vary based on the job level and your geographic work location. Relocation support is offered for eligible candidates.

Primary Accountabilities
  • You will partner with the sales leadership team and key stakeholders to establish priorities for projects and resource use. You will direct the ongoing project prioritization and resource allocation processes.
  • You will oversee measurement, monitoring and reporting of state and district level projects including progress and resource use.
  • You will promote the development of project management capabilities within the sales state and manage the state's programs. You will coach and guide on the process improvement work and efforts across the sales state.
  • You will establish, communicate, and implement departmental plans, objectives, and strategies.
  • You will participate as member of the management team.
  • You will maintain an active awareness of the enterprise's business environments, corporate culture, and structure to support important decision-making.
  • You will create a collaborative, performance-driven work environment by promoting trust, transparency, and inclusion. You will work with team members to set clear goals, provide feedback, perform performance assessments, and support ongoing development.
  • You will lead with influence and expertise. You will contribute to division or department leadership team. You will communicate and support organization mission, vision, values and policies.

Specialized Knowledge & Skills Requirements
  • Understanding of business systems and how to use them to gain efficiencies in a business environment.
  • Prior management experience or demonstrated experience leading project teams.
  • Solid knowledge of project management methodologies, practices, techniques and tools.
  • Understanding of financial reporting.
  • Prior experience implementing operational business plans and marketing plans.
  • Solid understanding of budget management concepts.
  • Solid understanding of AmFam agency operations.

Licenses
  • Maintain the appropriate insurance licenses in property, casualty, life, and health to do business with American Family and its alliances within 90 days of employment. Note: Obtaining a personal lines license does not fulfill the property and casualty license requirement.

Travel Requirements
  • Up to 10%.
