Join American Family Insurance as the Senior Manager of Business Systems, specializing in Workday. You will lead the People Services HR Technology team to enhance the digital employee experience across compensation, payroll, time tracking, benefits, and absence management within our HR Technology suite. You will develop, iterate and lead the strategy for our HR technology systems to optimize HR operations and employee experiences.
You will report to Director, Business Systems.

Position Compensation Range:
$109,000.00 - $186,000.00

Compensation may vary based on the job level and your geographic work location. Relocation support is offered for eligible candidates.

  • Workday Systems Leadership:Develop, manage, and integrate Workday across HR functions, aligning with our business systems strategy and operational needs.
  • Visionary Influence: Contribute to division or department leadership team. Communicate and support organization mission, vision, values and policies.
  • Collaborative Team Environment: Cultivate a high-performing team dedicated to delivering advanced Workday solutions. Promote an environment of learning and adaptation to evolving HR technology trends.
  • Project Management Excellence: Oversee HR technology projects from initiation to completion, focusing on system upgrades, enhancements, and new module deployments. Employ project management best practices to ensure efficient implementations.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Serve as a necessary liaison among HR, IT, and external vendors to ensure HR technology functionalities meet business requirements. Facilitate communication and training to maximize system use and user satisfaction.
  • Innovative HR Solutions:Evaluate the Workday and other HR technology platforms to discover opportunities. Lead the use of new functionalities that improve user experience and operational efficiency.
  • Comprehensive HR Technology Oversight: Manage the selection and implementation of various HR software and systems, considering business priorities and technological advancements. Develop and prioritize the roadmap for existing HR technology suites to embrace and sustain new capabilities.
Specialized Knowledge & Skills Requirements.
  • Demonstrated experience providing customer-driven solutions, support or service.
  • Extensive experience with Workday HCM and managing large-scale technology projects.
  • Strong understanding of HR processes and data, strategic thinking to enhance system capabilities.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills to manage multiple stakeholders and drive HR technology initiatives.
  • Demonstrated expertise in system configuration, support, analysis, and problem-solving.
  • In-depth understanding of the systems development life cycle (SDLC).
  • Workday Pro certifications preferred.

In this flex office/home role, you will be expected to work a minimum of 10 days per month from Madison, WI 53783 office.
