In this senior-level role, you will maintain simple to moderately complex general liability claims. You will review coverages, complete a thorough investigation, review contracts, look for risk transfer opportunities, respond to tenders, determine liability, settle claims, and report to an adjusting services manager. You will report to an adjusting services manager.
Position Compensation Range:
$68,000.00 - $113,000.00

Primary Accountabilities
- You investigate the origin and cause of claims by contacting relevant parties, including insureds, claimants, agents, attorneys, contractors, experts, special investigation units, other adjusters, and public personnel.
- You identify complex issues and seek assistance as needed, ensuring claims are handled in good faith.
- You manage 3rd party claims under various policy types and endorsements.
- You evaluate damages and negotiate claims with claimants, attorneys, and public adjusters.
- You respond to customer inquiries, make informed decisions, and close files as necessary.
- You interpret and apply policies, leases, by-laws, declarations, articles, and contract coverages to all parties involved in assigned losses.
- You make independent decisions, self-supervise most files, and recognize when to seek assistance.
- You will interpret and respond to customer questions and requests regarding the claim process and status to all parties, answering questions or redirecting as needed.
- You serve as a mentor and subject matter expert for less experienced adjusters.

- You have demonstrated experience in providing customer-driven solutions, support, or service.
- You have proven experience in handling 3rd party Commercial General Liability claims.
- You have experience in managing simple to moderately complex claims.
- You have extensive knowledge and understanding of policies and endorsements.
- You have comprehensive knowledge of each phase of the claim handling process
- Obtain state specific property casualty claims licensing as required.
Prior experience working in a metrics driven claims environment
- You hold a casualty adjusters license
- 3+ years experience handling General Liability (3rd party) non-auto property damage claims
- 3+ years experience handling General Liability (3rd party) non-auto injury claims
