Senior Executive Compensation Analyst

Analyzes the company's executive compensation programs including base pay and short and long-term incentive plans. Develops and manages work plans for quarterly and annual processes including development of supporting communications. Conducts analysis of pay programs, compensation best practices, and market intelligence to continually improve performance and delivery of programs. Assists in the preparation and review of materials for compensation committee and board meetings. Maintains awareness of business climate and internal and external factors impacting executive compensation programs. This position will report to the Senior Manager, Compensation.

Position Compensation Range:
$84,000.00 - $139,000.00

Compensation may vary based on the job level and your geographic work location. Relocation support is offered for eligible candidates.

Primary Accountabilities
  • You will implement executive compensation programs including administration, communications, improvements of existing processes, creation of new processes, and individualized/custom solutions. Collaborates and partners across the enterprise maintaining strong cross-functional partnerships.
  • You will execute the incentive forecast and payment process
  • You will develop executive pay and job placement recommendations based on market benchmarking and internal equity. May assist in creating and revising executive job descriptions.
  • You will develop the quarterly executive compensation booklet.
  • You will research and assesses market prevalence and trends regarding compensation design, variable pay, and executive benefits. Participates in third-party executive compensation surveys.
  • Creates models to analyze and forecast the effectiveness of compensation program design and provides recommendations for improvement in order to drive desired behavior and support organizational objectives.
  • Prepares summary information and exhibits supporting compensation recommendations.
  • Prepares materials for compensation committee and board meetings.
  • Lead system automation projects. Identifies and documents business requirements for systems and for plan/programs administered by third parties.

Specialized Knowledge & Skills Requirements
  • Demonstrated experience providing compensation customer driven solutions, support or service.
  • Demonstrated analytical aptitude, with the ability to organize and analyze data, interpret results, formulate conclusions and provide consulting as it relates to business decisions.
  • Demonstrated experience developing compensation work plans and managing multiple projects simultaneously with strong attention to detail under tight deadlines.
  • Demonstrated communication and writing skills with experience creating materials that convey complex topics succinctly and in a manner or format that makes them attainable.
  • Demonstrated business acumen with knowledge of financial measures, financial/accounting statements, and budgeting concepts.
  • Demonstrated experience interacting with management at all levels and build effective working relationships.

Preferred Skills:
  • Executive Compensation Experience: Managing executive compensation programs and familiarity with compensation structures and compliance.
  • Advanced Excel Skills: Proficiency in VLOOKUP, pivot tables, macros, and complex formulas; analyzing large datasets and creating financial models.
  • Advanced PowerPoint Skills: Designing executive presentations and conveying complex information clearly and visually.

In this flex office/home role, you will be expected to work a minimum of 10 days per month from one of the following office locations: Madison, WI 53783; Boston, MA 02110;
