In this position, you will coordinate divisional programs for internal controls across one or more insurance companies. You will respond to state compliance requests, provide guidance, and monitor operational controls, including vendor management, consumer complaints, record retention, and overall division quality. You will establish, monitor, and oversee compliance programs, processes, and Department of Insurance examinations. Additionally, you will report to a senior manager and act as a liaison and make recommendations to leadership on compliance matters affecting the product portfolio, forms, systems, processes, and procedures.
Position Compensation Range:
$76,000.00 - $125,000.00

Primary Accountabilities
- You will complete internal and operational control risk assessments and assist in testing divisional business processes, including the development and implementation of new products or systems.
- You will monitor and coordinate the execution of test plans.
- You will communicate the results of internal risk control assessments, process, and system testing to department managers and divisional leadership.
- You will coordinate with divisional leaders to develop and document any required process remediation plans and any necessary retesting.
- You will assist internal controls business partners and stakeholders in developing and implementing divisional internal control processes and systems.
- You will facilitate the integration of internal control programs for a line of business with Corporate Internal Control programs.
- You will provide compliance support in coordinating and responding to state market conduct exams, state and federal data calls, state inquiries, and surveys.
- You will undertake project coordination, project leadership, and project management duties for new laws and regulations.
Specialized Knowledge & Skills Requirements
- Demonstrated experience providing customer-driven solutions, support or service.
- Demonstrated experience in implementing compliance and risk control programs, including tracking, analyzing, reporting, and problem solving
- Demonstrated experience in the field of compliance including a working knowledge of underwriting and claims or specialized area of expertise.
- Demonstrated experience planning, managing, and/or leading projects or initiatives.
- Demonstrated experience in process improvement, methodologies, and tools.
- Up to 10%.

Additional Preferred Qualifications:
- You will have legal research and analysis skills.
- You will have experience in a life insurance compliance department.
