You will apply knowledge regarding products, underwriting guidelines, systems and processes specific to Personal Lines products (property, auto, specialty). Underwrite risk (i.e., selection/rejection of new and renewal business).

$56,000.00 - $92,000.00

Primary Accountabilities
- Applies insurance and risk concepts to underwrite new and renewal business for Personal Lines products.
- Conduct comprehensive account underwriting review for auto, home and specialty risks.
- Establish rapport with agents and sales management to deliver adverse decisions and explain the action.
- Serve as a resource for the field force.
- Provide input to underwriting leaders and business partners in the evaluation and response to regulations, statutes, and legal requirements governing the policies and standards for risk evaluation, and recommends changes, enhancements and new products to the Personal Lines products.
- Exercise binding authority and make decisions that impact profit and loss.
- Exhibit lean leadership behaviors through continuous improvement efforts.

Specialized Knowledge & Skills Requirements
- Demonstrated experience providing customer-driven solutions, support or service.
- Solid knowledge and understanding of insurance, underwriting guidelines, and risk concepts.
- Demonstrated critical thinking and analytical skills.
- Demonstrated experience making independent decisions regarding underwriting cases.
- Solid knowledge understanding of lean methodologies and A3 problem solving.
- Expected to complete Evaluating and Underwriting Personal Lines Risks/API 320 course within 1 year of starting role.
