Flight Operations Senior Captain (Madison, WI)

This position is responsible for the safe and efficient execution of assigned flights in accordance with all applicable rules, regulations, and company procedures. Participates as a member of team by providing administrative support including coordinating aircraft and operations personnel safety and security, leading technical and/or compliance audits, and developing and implementing training programs for flight crews.

Primary Accountabilities
• Coordinates with all Flight Operations personnel to maintain aircraft and facility security awareness.

• Assists in the oversight of periodic audits of aircraft, maintenance, and hangar operations.
• Leads the development and participation in action plans for any appropriate corrective action.
• May be assigned the function of flight operations training or safety officer.
• Leads with influence and expertise.
• Actively contributes to division or department leadership team.
• Communicates and supports organization mission, vision, values, policies, and practices.

Specialized Knowledge and Skills Requirements
• Demonstrated experience providing customer-driven solutions, support or service.
• Demonstrated Pilot in Command flight experience to include multi-engine aircraft; turbine-powered aircraft and multi-engine jet powered aircraft.
• Demonstrated experience in corporate aviation.
• Extensive knowledge and understanding of aviation safety standards and safe operating practices.

Licenses
• Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) certificate preferred. Type ratings appropriate to American Family aircraft.
• FAA Second Class physical, or an FAA First Class physical for international flight operations.
• Pilot in Command (PIC) currency in at least one aircraft.

Travel Requirements
• Up to 100%.

Physical Requirements
• This position requires the ability to use routine or repetitive physical motion with arms and hands between 1-33% of the time.
• This position requires the ability to stand, walk and/or sit between 33 and 66% of the time.
• This position requires the ability to stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl between 1 and 33% of the time.
• This position requires the ability to lift up to 50 pounds between 1 and 33% of the time.

Working Conditions
• This position requires the ability to work with exposure to fumes or airborne particles between 33 - 66% of the time.
• This position requires the ability to work with exposure to outside weather conditions between 33 - 66% of the time.
