This position will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing cloud and legacy on-prem solutions with a focus on application operations and DevOps practices. This role requires a strong background in application development and operations, with specific expertise in Windows Server administration, Amazon Web Services (AWS), and GitLab. The ideal candidate will drive continuous integration and deployment (CI/CD) processes, ensuring scalable, efficient, and secure cloud environments.

Position Compensation Range:
$141,000.00 - $239,000.00

Pay Rate Type:
Salary

Compensation may vary based on the job level and your geographic work location. Relocation support is offered for eligible candidates.

  • You will provide expertise in project initial phases including resource estimation, technology selection, and proof of concepts.
  • You will design, develop, and maintain cloud solutions with a focus on software-defined infrastructure.
  • You will communicate system design and development plans to the team at the appropriate level.
  • You will collaborate with others to validate complex design decisions and mitigate high-risk features or technical challenges.
  • You will collaborate with engineering and operations teams to enhance software reliability.
  • You will troubleshoot complex issues across tools, processes, and infrastructure.
  • You will recommend tools and practices to boost development and operations efficiency and reliability.
  • You will manage service configuration, deployment, and troubleshooting.
  • You will document design decisions, code modules, and performance metrics as per standards.
  • You will mentor staff, conduct development reviews, and define/lead testing phases.

Specialized Knowledge & Skills Requirements:
  • Demonstrated experience providing customer-driven solutions, support or service
  • Demonstrated experience analyzing and understanding complex software/systems.
  • Demonstrated experience communicating technical information.
  • Demonstrated experience developing different solution-delivery and design approaches and solutions to customers.
  • Demonstrated experience developing complex software/systems using one or more programming language.
  • Demonstrated experience analyzing and estimating project size and work efforts for software solutions.
  • Demonstrated experience providing technical guidance to less experienced staff.
  • Extensive knowledge and understanding of software development and design standards and methodologies.
  • Extensive knowledge and understanding of infrastructure technologies, operating systems, and the interconnectivity between infrastructure platforms and software tools.
  • Extensive knowledge and understanding of systems development life cycle (SDLC).
  • Solid knowledge and understanding of application architecture and design alternatives.
  • Solid Knowledge and understanding of integration and migration strategies and technologies.

Additional Preferred Qualifications:
  • Deep knowledge of AWS, and containerized applications.
  • EC2 VM administration is a bonus.
  • Administration of Windows server, using Powershell.
  • Proficiency with Gitlab pipelines, Ansible, Maven.

In this flex office/home role, you will be expected to work a minimum of 10 days per month from one of the following office locations: Madison, WI 53783; Boston, MA 02110; Denver, CO 80112; Eden Prairie, MN 55343; Keene, NH 03431; St. Joseph, MO 64507; Phoenix, AZ 85034
