The US Customer Growth Marketing Team, within US Commercials Services, strives to deliver marketing on behalf of the enterprise that makes American Express essential to our Card Members; specifically, responsible for driving revenue growth from existing customers through spend and lend treatments, while ensuring we retain our best customers.

This role presents an exceptional opportunity to shape marketing strategies that directly touch our customers and to deliver innovative and differentiated offerings. This Senior Manager will lead the delivery of valuable customer treatments via our frontlines with two primary objectives: expanding our leadership in the premium commercial space and shaping the employee card strategy. They will lead several customer acquisition programs including Upgrades, Cross- Sells, and Employee Cards and will have the opportunity to shape the channel experience for next-gen treatments. The Senior Manager will also lead high impact initiatives across the channel, such as developing our targeting & presentment strategy. They will partner closely with colleagues in Global Services Group (GSG), Product Management, GCO/Compliance, Enterprise Digital & Data Solutions, Risk, and Brand, and will lead a successful team of two analysts, ensuring operational excellence. The ideal candidate is a highly analytical, creative, and strategic thinker with validated experience delivering results, and a passion for customer marketing.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Formulate and implement dialogic strategy designed to drive spend and lend growth across proprietary charge and lending enrollment offers
  • Lead channel marketing activities including language development, offer testing, targeting and segmentation, and lead marketing investment dollars. Partner closely with colleagues in Analytics, Marketing Product, Risk, Finance, GSG, and other partners to optimize performance.
  • Lead with agility and proactive approach in handling portfolios
  • Motivate and develop a successful team of two analysts/sr. analysts to ensure detailed execution of telemarketing campaigns
  • Identify and pursue opportunities for channel innovation via next gen treatments and offers
  • Lead the development of script strategy across ValGen marketing
  • Partner with Direct Marketing colleagues to support successful execution of Drive to Phone campaigns

Minimum Qualifications

  • Marketing leader with consistent track record of getting results, and passion for delivering exceptional products, services, and experiences to the customer
  • Excellent program management and organizational skills, including juggling multiple priorities, superb attention to detail, meeting timelines, and operating effectively under changing conditions
  • Robust analytical skills, with an interest in identifying relevant trends and using data to inform strategies
  • 3+ years of Marketing experience; acquisition and/or tele marketing experience preferred, and knowledge of AXP marketing processes a plus
  • Superior relationship management skills, with the ability to influence partners both across and upwards
  • Clear and articulate communicator with the ability to tailor messages to multiple audiences and across multiple mediums
  • Energetic self-starter with a thirst for breaking new ground, and challenging the status quo
  • Attitude to win, and resilient in the face of challenges
  • Passion for "solving puzzles," and validated ability to develop new solutions to complex problems
  • Big picture thinker who can develop a vision linked to organizational goals, and translate that vision into action
  • Should enjoy working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, both independently and as part of a team.

Salary Range: $80,000.00 to $155,000.00 annually + bonus + benefits
