The DDI team is responsible for DNS, DHCP, and IP addressing for the global American Express network. In addition to providing first-class fulfillment services, we must also provide architectural oversight, implement hardware and software upgrades and patches, provide 24/7 operational support, and support various customer requests.

How will you make an impact in this role?

  • Demonstrates analytical thinking - recommends improvements and conducts experiments to prove/disprove them
  • Communicates effectively with product and cross functional teams to prioritize features for ongoing sprints and managing a list of technical requirements based on industry trends, recent technologies, known defects, and issues

Responsibilities

  • Providing technical leadership and organization for the team
  • Consulting with business and technology customers
  • Maintaining relationships and alignment with technology peers
  • Maintaining relationships with hardware/software vendors
  • Supporting Automation teams with new and improved features
  • Supporting other peer teams with projects, goals, initiatives
  • Documenting policies, standards, procedures
  • Documenting current environment and architectural changes
  • Documenting and addressing risks and issues
  • Supporting operational escalations
  • Providing mentorship for the team

Qualifications

  • Advanced knowledge of DNS, DHCP, IP addressing
  • Advanced knowledge of Linux operating systems
  • Advanced knowledge of TCP/IP networking and application architecture
  • Intermediate knowledge of various technologies (e.g., Voice, Messaging, Firewall, Load Balancing)
  • Intermediate knowledge of server hardware platforms
  • Experience with in-depth problem solving, analytical analysis, reporting and the ability to articulate and present to leaders and key partners
  • Strong industry knowledge of the newest technologies, domain expertise and its relevance to the American Express environment
  • Ability to lead, manage, influence, collaborate and drive vendor direction to deliver innovated solutions that are conducive to the team and American Express
  • Show personal integrity, build trust, and can collaborate across the organization.
  • Motivates and inspires team members to work together and get results
  • Excellent written/verbal skills and able to adapt a message to the appropriate audience
  • Strong critical thinking and decision-making skills to deliver results
  • Bachelor of Science Degree in Computer Science or Computer Science Engineering, or related field is preferred

Salary Range: $110,000.00 to $190,000.00 annually + bonus + benefits
