Amazon Route 53 is a highly available and scalable Domain Name System (DNS) service offered by Amazon Web Services. Our team tackles some of the hardest scalability, performance and availability challenges in the world. We process billions of DNS queries a day with very high availability. DNS is a Tier0 Networking service and the bar is very high. We are integral to all AWS services and interact directly with end-customers.

Our services are growing rapidly and are expanding around the world. A day in the life
- Conceptualize and create new tools and services utilized across multiple teams at AWS
- Propose innovative tools, frameworks, automation and processes that are used by the entire team for development
- Recommend and make changes for fully automating region build processes
- Challenge conventional thinking; create innovative paths forward
- Functionally decompose complex problems into simple, straight-forward solutions
- Most importantly, thinking big on behalf of our customers

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
- 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
- Experience programming with at least one software programming language

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- 3+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
