Alteryx is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Staff Software Engineer to join the Connectivity org. The ideal candidate will bring extensive expertise in Python and Java based stacks, a strong understanding of the data domain-specifically in integration and connectivity-and an ability to work across teams to achieve technical alignment. If you're a self-driven individual who thrives in solving complex problems and enjoys working on innovative data solutions, we'd love to hear from you.
Must-Have Requirements:
- Minimum of 10 years of software engineering experience, with a strong track record of technical leadership.
- At least 4 years of hands-on experience in the data domain, focusing on integration and connectivity solutions.
- Proficiency in Python and Java based stacks, with expertise in designing, implementing, and optimizing scalable applications.
- Deep understanding of software architecture and design principles.
- Proven experience with APIs, data pipelines, and distributed systems.
- Demonstrated ability to tackle complex technical challenges and provide innovative solutions.
- Strong ability to work across multiple teams and stakeholders to achieve technical alignment on critical initiatives.
- Self-driven and proactive in identifying opportunities and delivering results.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, for effective collaboration and documentation.
Nice-to-Have Requirements:
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes)
- Experience with frameworks like Spring Boot (Java) or Flask/Django (Python).
- Understanding of ETL/ELT processes, data modeling, and data lake/warehouse architectures.
- Familiarity with connectivity protocols and data exchange standards (e.g., JDBC, ODBC, REST APIs, gRPC)
- Prior experience mentoring junior engineers and driving technical decision-making within a team.
- Relevant certifications in cloud, data engineering, or related fields are a plus.
- Experience in building customer-facing SDKs is highly desirable.
Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and optimize scalable software solutions with a focus on data integration and connectivity.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align on architecture and technical strategies.
- Take ownership of critical projects and ensure timely delivery with high-quality standards.
- Mentor and guide team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and innovation.
- Contribute to the technical roadmap and participate in strategic decision-making.
