The Alteryx, Inc. UX team is growing and we are looking for a Product Designer to join our newly created team in India. Work location is in Bangalore.

You will be focusing on a variety of Data Science and Data Connectivity tools and products as we expand the functions and capabilities of the Alteryx Analytics Cloud platform. Our diverse team specializes in understanding the needs of our users and giving them an exceptional web-based experience, all within a global UX organization. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of the software design lifecycle within a hybrid Agile environment. This should include proficiency in experience design, web-based user interactions, leveraging design systems, and strong design thinking skills. Familiarity with user research and testing methodologies is beneficial (we partner with our UX Research team to execute). We have a solid UX team with great organization support! Our UX umbrella covers design, research, visual design, content, localization, telemetry and accessibility.

Position details:

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with product managers in specific domains to deliver high-value features using human-centric principles.
  • Understand product specifications and user psychology based on user testing, discovery workshops with stakeholders and collaborative working sessions with other Product Designers
  • Articulate and convey designs via scenarios, user flows, sketches, lo-fi and hi-fi mockups, detailed interaction specs, prototypes while considering existing design patterns.
  • Drive your designs forward through every step of the design process and know what details matter at each stage: conceptual and interaction design, prototyping, delivery and post-delivery performance tracking.
  • Work closely with engineers to understand technical considerations, to guide the implementation of designs to the last detail.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure a cohesive user experience.
  • Identify a need for new design patterns and definitions. Provide a more frequent cadence of design reviews for new features and design patterns.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in Figma, with an understanding of using Design Systems and prototypes.
  • Collaborate with fellow UX designers, offering constructive feedback on their designs.

Requirements:

  • You have 5+ years of experience as an individual contributor on a Product Design team.
  • You have an outstanding portfolio, showcasing several great examples of real work you've shipped and what you learned along the way.
  • You've designed and shipped B2B/enterprise products and you feel comfortable juggling technical constraints, complications and gnarly details.
  • You have experience working and collaborating with diverse teams in a dynamic, rapid growth environment.
  • You have experience partnering with Product Managers to develop the strategy and rationale for features as well as working with and motivating engineers to get the fit and finish right.
  • You understand the importance of consistency in an enterprise environment, balanced with a drive for innovation and how to align the two.
  • You have experience with prototyping as a means to explore and convey design solutions.
  • You have excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills.
  • You design with a strong sense of teamwork, passionate about working with other designers and across disciplines to drive change into products. Our team deeply values collaboration.
