Job Title: Senior FP&A Analyst - Technology Business Partner

Overview: As a Senior FP&A Analyst, you will play a pivotal role in our Finance team, acting as a strategic business partner to the Chief Product Officer (CPO), Chief Information Officer (CIO), and Chief Information Security Officer (CISO). Reporting to the Senior Manager of FP&A, you will be responsible for providing financial insights, analysis, and decision support to drive business growth and optimize financial performance within these key functional areas.

Key Responsibilities:

Financial Planning and Analysis:

  • Collaborate with the CPO, CIO, and CISO to develop annual budgets, quarterly forecasts, and long-term strategic plans.
  • Conduct variance analysis to identify key drivers of financial performance and provide recommendations for improvement.
  • Prepare and present financial reports and insights to senior leadership, highlighting risks, opportunities, and areas for optimization.

Business Partnership:

  • Serve as a key finance point of contact for the CPO, CIO, and CISO, fostering strong relationships and understanding their unique business needs.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to provide financial guidance and support on strategic initiatives, projects, and investments.
  • Act as a trusted advisor, translating financial data into actionable insights to drive informed decision-making.

Performance Management:

  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and financial metrics to track business performance and identify trends.
  • Work closely with departmental leaders to establish performance targets, evaluate performance against goals, and implement corrective actions as needed.
  • Continuously assess and improve financial processes and tools to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.

Forecasting and Modeling:

  • Develop financial models to evaluate business scenarios, assess investment opportunities, and support strategic decision-making.
  • Conduct scenario analysis and sensitivity testing to assess the potential impact of various business decisions on financial outcomes.
  • Assist in the development of pricing strategies, cost optimization initiatives, and resource allocation plans.

Ad Hoc Analysis and Projects:

  • Undertake ad hoc financial analysis and projects as required by senior management or business stakeholders.
  • Support M&A activities, including financial due diligence, valuation analysis, and integration planning.
  • Assist in the preparation of board presentations, investor communications, and other strategic initiatives.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field.
  • 3-5+ years of experience in financial planning and analysis, preferably in a technology-driven organization.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels.
  • Proven track record of building collaborative relationships and working effectively in cross-functional teams.
  • Advanced proficiency in financial modeling, forecasting, and budgeting tools (e.g., Excel, Anaplan, Tableau).
  • Self-starter with a proactive mindset, able to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • CPA, CFA, or other relevant professional certifications are a plus.

Compensation:

Alteryx is committed to fair, equitable, and transparent compensation. Final compensation will be determined by various factors such as your relevant work experience, education, certifications, skills, and geographic location.

The salary range for this role in Southern California, Colorado, Washington, and Rhode Island is $103,300 - 139,400.

The salary range for this role in Texas is $93,900 - 126,700.

In addition, you may be eligible for other compensation, such as a bonus. Employees may also be eligible for a wide range of other benefits, including medical, retirement, financial, wellness, time off, employee discounts, and others.
