Overview:
The primary role of the Sales Engineer is to communicate and demonstrate the features, capabilities, and benefits of using the Alteryx platform. Playing a pivotal role in the sales process by bridging the gap between technical capabilities and customer needs, by translating the Alteryx platform features to customer business value. This role involves working closely with the sales team to provide technical expertise, product demonstrations, and solution recommendations tailored to prospective clients. The ideal candidate will possess an understanding of data analytics, and have excellent communication skills to effectively articulate the value of our solutions.

What you will do:

  • Provide pre-sales support for pre-qualified opportunities for all products in the Alteryx Platform.


  • Craft and Deliver technical presentations of offerings to new potential customers.


  • Develop and deliver proof of concept (POC) demonstrations/meetings to demonstrate the feasibility and value of Alteryx solutions in the customer's environment.


  • Remain up-to-date on Alteryx solutions and products and maintain familiarity and adherence to all company methods and procedures.


  • As a collaborative team member, you will contribute to a positive and supportive work environment, learning from established best practices and sharing your insights to drive continuous improvement.


  • Work with sales management to drive sales through optimizing processes, training of team, and development of a culture of collaboration, learning, and success.

What we look for:

  • 3+ years of pre-sales or consultant experience in data analytics, business intelligence, or data science, in a customer facing role.


  • Knowledge of public clouds (AWS, Azure, GCP) and familiarity in data warehousing solutions like Snowflake and Databricks.


  • Commercial and inquisitive mind-set and desire to solve problems is a must.


  • Demonstrated ability to handle complex situations, involving multiple departments and levels of the organization (ie. Line of business, C-suite, IT, etc.)


  • Ability to handle a fast-paced environment and continuously re-prioritising.


  • Travel up to 25% or as required
