Alteryx is looking for a Regional Marketing Manager responsible for creating and executing our Japan go-to-market plans encompassing the full marketing mix with a strong focus on the creation and measurement of solid demand generation. The role requires a strong mix of strategic thinking and hands on execution, daily tasks will include creating content, campaigns, and events, whilst liaising with sales and business development teams for effective and timely follow up of leads.

The Regional Marketing Manager, Japan will collaborate with, and advise all teams within the revenue generating and product side of the Alteryx business, with focus on acting as trusted advisor to the sales and business development stakeholders. A successful candidate will demonstrate the ability to work independently, as well as collaboratively, in a fast-paced environment. We are looking for someone who is curious, has great attention to detail, is process oriented, has high standards for their work product, and is results-driven with a passion for taking things to the next level.

Responsibilities:

  • Drive the Japan territory strategy, by creating and executing a calendar of online and offline activities to increase awareness, drive engagement, generate leads, and support conversion rates.
  • Build and own the strategy for the localisation of our brand, messaging and communication channels, and the creation of content that resonates with the Japan audience - including the localisation of the Alteryx website into Japanese.
  • Plan and manage the flow of leads from campaigns and events into marketing automation systems and to sales team stakeholders to maximize pipeline generation and conversion.
  • Effectively manage budgets and track performance of activities to evaluate ROI of programs.
  • Research local market and competitor trends in order to identify external event and sponsorship opportunities, and internal event and workshop priorities to ensure maximum brand awareness and ROI.
  • Manage the execution of scalable and efficient events.
  • Provide exceptional customer service to internal and external stakeholders, and act as a trusted advisor for the Asia & Japan Regional Vice President.
  • Monitor email marketing metrics (opens, click-throughs, deliverability, registrations, etc.) and analyse/report the results to implement actions that enhance effectiveness (tests, etc.).
  • Effective project management to deliver projects within agreed timeline and in budget.
  • Collaboration with corporate marketing of long-term nurturing campaigns and processes.
  • Marketing Automation (we use Marketo) content and campaign email development and quality assurance as needed.
  • Travel (25%) for onsite event management and business development meetings with regional partners.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Japanese native speaker and outstanding command of English, any additional language a plus.
  • Significant experience in a regional marketing role in the B2B Enterprise tech/software space.
  • Demonstrated success in supporting field, inside and channel sales teams as well as partner eco-system in a fast pace environment.
  • Experience with programs directed at both IT and business audiences.
  • Proven ability to build and execute demand generation campaigns with a marketing. automation platform, Marketo + SFDC is preferred.
  • Strong understanding of how to use email, website (SEO/SEM), content syndication and social media in an overall demand creation approach.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with ability to work with multiple teams and represent the company in a positive, professional manner.
  • Excellent organisational and project management skills and a demonstrable experience lead cross-functional virtual teams to deliver programs, manage multiple projects simultaneously, work on tight deadlines and keep all programs on schedule.
  • Experience managing projects to a fixed budget and proven ROI with third-party vendors and contractors.
  • Demonstrated success in driving innovation and operational excellence.
