Overview:
The Alteryx, Inc. UX team is growing, and we are looking for a Product Designer to join our team in India. This designer will use their mastery of Figma to add to, maintain, and document the Onyx Design System. Our diverse team specializes in understanding the needs of our users and giving them an exceptional web-based experience, all within a global UX organization. If you love solving complex problems for a variety of data science and data connectivity tools and products, collaborating with amazing product designers and getting exposure to advanced data analytics, this is a great fit for you!
The ideal candidate will have a strong visual design background, an exceptional attention to detail, a comfort communicating directly with developers, and a passion for creating user-centered solutions. As a Figma expert, you will focus on the creation and optimization of scalable components, patterns, and guidelines that empower our product teams to build cohesive, high-quality user experiences. You will work closely with designers, developers, and product managers to ensure the design system remains consistent, accessible, and intuitive across all platforms.
We have a solid UX team with great organization support! Our UX umbrella covers design, research, development, visual design, content, localization, telemetry, tech writing, and accessibility.

Responsibilities:
- Contribute to the design and maintenance of our design system in Figma, ensuring components are scalable, consistent, and adhere to best practices.
- Design, document, and evolve UI components, patterns, and assets, enabling design and development teams to work efficiently and maintain visual consistency.
- Collaborate closely with engineers to grasp technical considerations for your designs.
- Conduct regular audits of existing design components and patterns to ensure they meet quality, accessibility, and brand standards.
- Collaborate with product designers, engineers, and stakeholders to identify opportunities for system improvements and ensure seamless handoff between design and development.
- Provide guidance and training to other designers and engineers on how to leverage the design system effectively.
- Ensure that design files are organized, accessible, and optimized for use by teams across the organization.
- Continuously seek feedback and iterate on components to address evolving business needs and user feedback.
- Demonstrate expert proficiency in Figma, with an understanding of using Design Systems, design tokens, libraries, and prototypes.Systems and prototypes.
- Collaborate with fellow UX designers, offering constructive feedback on their designs.
Requirements:
- You have 2+ years of experience as an individual contributor on a Product Design team.
- You have a solid portfolio, showcasing several examples of real work you've shipped and what you learned along the way.
- You've designed and shipped B2B/enterprise products and you feel comfortable juggling technical constraints, complications and gnarly details.
- You have experience working and collaborating with diverse teams in a dynamic, rapid growth environment.
- You have experience partnering with Product Managers to develop the strategy and rationale for features as well as working with and motivating engineers to get the fit and finish right.
- You understand the importance of consistency in an enterprise environment, balanced with a drive for innovation and how to align the two.
- You have solid written and verbal communication and presentation skills.
- You design with a strong sense of teamwork, passionate about working with other designers and across disciplines to drive change into products. Our team deeply values collaboration.
