Responsibilities:
- Leads/ Manages team of Software Development Engineers in Test, testing software products through the use of systematic tests to develop, apply, and maintain quality standards for company products.
- Ensures development and execution of software test plans, automated scripts, and programs for testing.
- Analyzes and writes test standards and procedures, setups and maintains quality processes.
- Maintains documentation of test results to assist in debugging and modification of software.
- Analyzes test results to ensure existing functionality and recommends corrective action.
- Consults with Software Development Engineers in Test in resolution of problems.
- Manages experienced professionals who exercise latitude and independence in assignments.
- Makes day-to-day decisions for group/department to achieve defined goals and operational results.
- Sets goals and objectives for team members. Is responsible for regular performance management and actively participates in hiring process.
- Influences others outside of own job area regarding policies, practices, and procedures.
- Works with other departments on cross functional projects and deliverables.
- Is responsible for department performance and executes departmental strategy.

General Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent practical experience
- 5 years of experience in software development
- 2+ years of management experience
- Wide knowledge of software development and quality engineering practices and knowledge of when and how to apply them to teams
- Experience organizing and leading meetings for planning, scheduling, and/or discussion within the team
- Excellent project management and communication skills
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive project success
- An ability to work with a remote team and lead them to sustainable long-term success
- Expertise mentoring and growing teams
- Proficiency in English, both written and spoken
Required technical skills:
- Knowledge of Python/Pytest
- Proficiency with GIT
- Experience with testing of API/web services
Nice to have:
- GitLab
- PowerShell
